This is the BEST place to stop and get your parking validated in Old Town. The owner is one of the nicest people I have ever meet. We are members of the train museum, so parking validation is a MUST when we go to Old Town. I choose where we eat and shop based on who provides Parking Validation. Where most businesses that validate make you spend $5+ to get your parking validated (which means you end up spending $8.50 to get $5 parking validation), Sam's cafe is very flexible and if you are just under they will still give you the validation. I ALWAYS make sure to stop and get cash before I go to Old Town (they don't take credit) just so I can make my routine stop by Sam's Cafe to get my kids their pretzel and I can get my icee! Sam's Cafe is a throwback to the olden days where people are actually friendly, accommodating, helpful and nice.
